Ukeme James emerges “Face of Culture Nigeria, South-South”


At the just concluded Face of Culture Nigeria pageant 2014 which was held in Abuja, at the Women development centre on the 20th of September 2014, Ms Ukeme James an
indigene of Uyo LGA, Akwa Ibom state emerged as one of the regional queens in the contest. She made it to the top five spots which earned her the crown for Face of Culture, South-South.

According to the newly crowned queen, she says it takes more than physical beauty to become queen. “You should have more than one dream; no matter how beautiful and intelligent you are because after one year another person takes the crown. My clear headedness is a breath of fresh air in an industry where the instant fame and fortune sidelines prior plans and aspirations.”
 
The face of culture in Nigeria competition was a well put together event, which serves as a platform for the participants with the objectives of pageant which include to project, promote and show case the Nigerian culture to the rest of the world through the media, cultural centers and the ministries and throughout the south-south region of Nigeria!
 
Ukeme James is a student of Maths and Statistics in the University of Uyo.
