A front line contender in the 2015 gubernatorial race in Akwa Ibom, Mr Owoidigheabasi. J Adiakpan has promised to make the state the window to Nigeria if he
occupies the hilltop top mansion from May 2015.
Adiakpan was speaking at dinner held in his honour by Friends of O.J Adiakpan (FOJA) as he turned 52 at Le’meridian Ibom hotel and golf resort. He promised to bring his experience in the oil and gas sector to bare by rebuilding communities in Akwa Ibom and creating a destination of choice for business, technology and tourism.
The aspirant stated that his focus will be qualitative education, industrialization, and wealth creation which will result in the generation of not less than N200billion per month as revenue for Akwa Ibom State. He thanked his friends for honouring him with a surprise birthday dinner and also advised politicians to desist from mortgaging the future of generations yet unborn by making decisions that are monetarily influenced with only short term benefits.
The birthday dinner was graced by professionals, politicians, students, Clergy and women groups who paid glowing tributes to the personality and managerial dexterity of Owoidighe Adiakpan while urging him not to be deterred in his quest to make Akwa Ibom greater. Mr Owoidighe Adiakpan is a Facility Manager with Exxon Mobil and hails from Eket Local Governnment Area.
