It was all tears of happiness as Ms Victoria Ubani of Abia state at the just concluded Face of Niger Delta Cultural Pageant won the 2014 Kia Rio car, grand prize for the contest. She also took home 1million naira cash. The event was
well attended by dignitaries, top ranking staffs of the Niger Delta Development Commission and celebrities drawn from Nigeria’s music and movie industries, which include Joseph Benjamin, who served on the panel of Judges.
Ms Kedike – Chidinma Ekile and Joide of ‘Kuch-kuchi’ fame took out turns to thrill the crowd with mind blowing performances. Dear Kelly also joined suit with another great outing on stage, backed with superb dancers. Others who mounted the stage were the Unik brothers, Illest, Sir James, Icekyd, General Odey.
More so, to celebrate the rich oil region, the cultural troupes from the Councils for Art and Culture of the nine Niger Delta states which comprises of Ondo, Edo, Delta, Imo, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa and Rivers where all on ground to add colour to event.
Victoria Ubani will be heading to South Africa in December for two weeks where she will be tutored on basic leadership skills at the African Union center in Johannesburg.
