Morachi, real names Rich Marvin jr. Chieme Akuba was born in Bariga, Lagos on the 15th of October, the first child of four. He had his primary education in Lagos and then moved to Imo State for his secondary education at Uchenna Secondary School. He came back to Lagos after JSS 1 to attend Beautiful Gate Secondary school in Ejigbo where he obtained his O Levels.
He started professional music in 2000 with a video titled"ALL ABOUT MO" that enjoyed massive airplay on TV.
He left the scene for the UK afterwards but made a big come back in 2007 with a smashing hit single "HAPUYA LYKE DAT", a song/video that topped charts across Africa for several weeks. His video quality became a yard stick that grossly influenced production of music videos in Nigeria.
He released his first album titled "THE PROOF" and over the years grew into a household name, with a unique single pattern that thrills his fans and keeps them locked down. He has done collaborations with the likes of KONGA, GINO, SAUCEKID, LL BA FLOW from REPUBLIC OF CONGO, M SPEECH, A-Q, RAP 9, ISOLATE, B FLOW, EMPERORS, NEATO C, LYNXXX, MI, KIMA, LUDU and many more.
Morachi is a professional song writer, music director, producer and a record label executive. Distinct for his exotic fashion sense, energetic stage performance and seen by his female fans as a sex symbol.
He's currently signed to II-Flame Entertainment and here is his newest body of work, titled IBU ONYE. The video was directed by BERYLS
