Early this year, precisely in the month of March it
was reported that Albert Ukpanah was murdered in what was alleged to
be
politically-driven. The Abak elder statesman was killed at his Abak country
home in Akwa Ibom state.
Shortly after his burial, Odudu an only son of
the deceased was arrested in relation to the murder of his father over the sum of

Information gathered has it that thousands of Akwa Ibom youths are mobilizing for a protest in the city of Uyo to call the attention of government for the release of Odudu Ukpanah who is currently in custody since the 24th of May, some days after the burial of his dad.
She also went ahead to add:
''I was proudly an Akwaibomite and proud to say Akwaibom ADOOK everywhere in the world till my dad Albert Ukpanah was murdered for speaking the truth. Now I know what others passed through.
People can't speak the truth anymore cause of the fear of being murdered but I still stand for the truth like my DAD.
