Enterprise Development: Plan to Attend as VC4Africa meet-ups in 2014 Global Entrepreneurship Week


As part of activities to mark the 2014 Global Entrepreneurship Week, Venture Capital for Africa(VC4A) is organizing a meet-up event in the city of Calabar for the advancement of entrepreneurship
.

On Thursday, November 20th, the VC4Africa community initiates a series of networking meetups in cities across the world, bringing together local entrepreneurs, angels and VC investors building great companies in Africa, as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2014 (November 17th – 23th).
Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups. The event takes place each November with 20,000 activities in 140 countries.

At the meet-ups on one central question have been chosen: "What do you see as actions to take (as an individual or with the wider community) to multiply investments in African startups over the next year?" VC4Africa will collect the output from these discussions across the world.

VC4Africa is the largest online community of entrepreneurs and investors dedicated to building game changing companies on the continent. Entrepreneurs have access to free online tools, mentorship opportunities and private deal rooms. Investor Pro Account users can set up intelligent alerts, follow progress, conduct due diligence and connect directly with the continent’s leading entrepreneurs. The community has members in 159 countries and meetups have been hosted in more than 50 cities around the world. meetups serve as an additional networking venue where VC4Africa members and supporters meet face to face to share thoughts and ideas.
