South-South Nigeria and Akwa Ibom finest native rapper, Ikpa Udo formerly referred to as Indigenous Maliq is taking his career a step further. The
‘Ibibio Rap Prince’ who caught a lot of attention after the release of his debut single ‘Itipe’ and closely followed by ‘Ame Nwod’ in 2013 which was a banger even till date.
Video for the ‘Ame Nwod’ single recently released is currently enjoying heavy rotation on entertainment channels in Nigeria and was also premiered in South Africa over the weekend, with United Kingdom being the next.
The video saw Ikpa Udo and others on set dressed in an all ‘Ikor’ merchandise which includes Faze caps, t-shirts, tank tops and sweat shirts. According to his management Maximum Disturbance Entertainment team, plans are being put in place to commercialize the merchandise due to high demand. ‘Ikor’ is an Ibibio translation for ‘Word’, a phrase used in hip-hop to also show an affirmation to a statement or made to nod to a good rap punch line.
