Aniebiet Francis makes Nollywood English movie cast


Aniebiet Francis Hails from Ikot Obong Edong in Ikot Ekpene and a graduate from the University of Calabar – Unical, serving her father land with
Radio Benue in Benue state a presenter and producer on the programme NYSC forum.

She also worked with 2479ja, an online tv as a presenter on the programme ‘E-Lounge’ were she also doubled as the producer.

The physically endowed starlet actress started her acting career in 2007 with a television series titled ‘Reflections’, directed by Andy Amenechi and starred the likes of Keppy Ekpenyong, Gloria Anozie and Love Etebom.

Anny as she is also referred to, later joined the film industry in 2009, with a major role in an indigenous Ibibio movie directed by award winning Moses Eskor titled Imeh which was a success earning her more roles in other movie like Abasi Ikpa Isong, Asari, Land lord, Mkpo Urua and Iso joe-ova.

Her sojourn in film got her to relocate to Nigeria’s entertainment capital, Lagos in December 2013 as she clinched a spot in ‘Akan’, a movie that bagged nomination for Best Indigenous Comedy-Drama category at the 2014 GIAMMA awards in Texas, USA. She got her first English film role in ‘Beneath her veil’. Others include ‘Where does beauty go’, ‘Hitch’ ‘Daddy’s girl, and Newman's Street.

Anny is currently on set for another English movie titled ‘Going to America’ where she plays the role of a supporting lead-actress. For Aniebiet, her future in acting and television is bright as she is offered more scripts due to her delivery and good interpretation of roles. She is tipped to be the next big female movie exponent from the South after the likes of Liz Benson, Regina Askia, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Mbong Amata amongst many.
