A
lot has happened in our society and gradually, every day we see the system
decaying with its resultant effect in various societal ills and they all
degrade moral values that the African culture was built on. This issue is
easily evident in the youths and none of the sexes are left out of this as the
female folk are the most vulnerable to suffer the bitter experiences due to
moral breakdown in the society that affect and demean womanhood.
Hence,
the ‘Ethical, Norms and Value Project’ better known as E.N.V Project which is
poised to campaign against this decadence in our communities and one medium to
achieve this is via a pageant tagged ‘Miss E.N.V Nigeria’. The event is a one
of its kind and according to D’Creed Entertainment, organizers of the pageant,
it serves as a platform to celebrate the beauty of the maidens of the state and
nation at large, enhance the alluring beauty and psychology of our queens,
hence not ejecting the values, dignity and morality of womanhood. The pageant
serves not just to imbibe but augment the queens’ sense of creativity,
industriousness, diligence and pro-active capability to be the celebrated face
of Ethics, Norms and Values.
Already, preparations are in top gear
to host the event as forms are being sold for Three thousand Naira (N3’000) at
the Family House of Ndito Boys and Girls Organization, Ewet Housing Estate to
any Nigerian young girl from the ages of 18 to 25 years and at least 5'7"
in height who will be interested in contesting. The event is slated to hold on
the 23th of November 2013 with camping activities set to resume on the11th of
November.
