Enter into the world of Uyoata Udi, who prides himself as an ‘Obama’ in his generation for making history as the first ever Mr. Akwa Ibom U.S.A.

The Association of Akwa Ibom people in the United State of America are very strong in all the states, and they hold

their annual convention every August at a choice location. The Miss Akwa Ibom USA is part of the activities that add color to the convention, and this year, the organizers embarked on a journey in search of an Akwa Ibom son worthy to be an Ambassador of the Akwa Ibom people abroad, hence the addition of Mr. Akwa Ibom USA.

Coming out of a stiff competition, Uyoata grabbed the coveted crown, owing it to his ability to speak the Ibibio language, despite being born and brought up in Florida, U.S.A.

On a visit to his hometown Afaha Offot, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State to join in the 26th year anniversary celebration in September 2013, Mr. Akwa Ibom USA used the stone to kill many birds. He did not just attend the lineup of event activities, he also seized the opportunity to network with likeminded youths, and he visited motherless baby’s homes where he donated exercise books as his token in support of the developmental strides of the present administration in the state.
