From Rock'n'Roll Star to Ambassadorship, Brandiny Mbang is United Nations Ambassador for Peace!

Nigeria's foremost and only Rock 'n' Roll act and son of former Methodist Prelate, Brandiny Mbang has added another feather to his cap. The dancer
come music act was recently awarded as the United Nation Ambassador for Peace. The event which was held in Yenegoa, the Bayelsa state capital was to mark the birthday of the 8th and current Secretary-General of United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon.

Brandiny was chosen because of his achievements both on national and state levels as an entertainer, coupled with his humanitarian deeds especially towards the younger ones and his selfless contributions to the growth of the Nigerian entertainment industry which has paved way for many today. He was appointed United Nations eminent ambassador for peace alongside 11 persons from across other Nigerian states.
 
As an eminent ambassador for peace, his responsibilities include attending all major United Nations conferences, seminars. He will also be involved in conflict resolutions and eligible to serve as an international election observer in other countries and more so, create empowerment programs to get the organization actively involved.
 
Amb. Brandiny Mbang will be hosting the UN reps in Nigeria on a later date to the Organization’s flag-hoisting ceremony in Uyo, Akwa Ibom as part of the activities to officially launch his office.
