On July 13th, sensational kid star Mya K will be the cynosure of all eyes in the entertainment industry as she opens up at the maiden edition of the African Global Deejay Awards. Mya K who turned 12 barely a month ago was chosen for this key role on the strength of her new single
"My DJ' which is riding high on musical charts across the continent. Obviously the organizers had wanted an opening performance that would soothe the theme and objectives of the event and it didn't matter if they had to go all the way to London to get Mya K !
According to Mohammed and Tope Esan, the African global DJ awards is put together to celebrate the contributions of the Deejay to the success of entertainment industry. “We want to recognize and celebrate the talent of the greatest DJ’s, the individuals that play at various gatherings, allowing the music to be heard in Africa and Diaspora'' Mohammed stated.
Billed for the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, the African Global DJ awards will be hosted by multiple award winning artiste Navia as well as headline performances from Mya K and other top African artistes.
