Akwa Ibom 2015: Udom denied acquisition of nomination form by PDP?

Information reaching us is that the national body of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has barred the immediate past Secretary to Akwa Ibom State Government, Mr Udom Emmanuel from aquisition of  the party’s nomination
form ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

According to Propellerng, efforts by Udom to purchase the guber form have been fruitless since last week as Udom resigned his appointment last week as SSG to pursue a governorship ambition.
It is said that the party questioned Udom’s membership status describing him as having “questionable membership record” as the PDP constitution says that “for a member to qualify to seek an elective position, such a member must have been registered for not less than two consistent years”.

More so, some petitions against Mr Udom Emmanuel have been received by the party’s hierarchy in Abuja from some factions in the aspirant’s state as part of the complaints contained in the petition against Udom a the former Zenith Bank executive was never a genuine card-carrying party member before his aspiration came public sometime in the middle of last year.

More updates coming on the situation.
